Voyage Internship
Where Are They Now?
Are you getting ready to graduate from college with a pre-professional degree? Do you have some time before you’ll be starting your next step in your medical career? Our internship may be a great fit for you! We hire pre-med students to work in our office. Take a look at our past interns and see how they’re doing.
Christian is a medical student at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. He recently took a temporary leave of absence to participate in an autoimmune dermatology research fellowship at the University of Utah Department of Dermatology. He will return to school following the fellowship to be part of the graduating class of 2026. He then plans to apply for residency in dermatology, with the goal to pursue a career in medical dermatology.
Jessica will graduate from the University of Utah Physician Assistant program in August of 2025. Her clinical experience at Voyage far exceeded that of a typical Medical Assistant, and helped her to excel both in the classroom and on rotations. Her work with Voyage’s health coaching program solidified her passion for nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She recommends the Voyage Clinics internship to anyone pursuing a career in medicine.
Trevor is a second-year medical student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, with plans to pursue a career in pediatrics. Although his time at Voyage Clinics was shorter than he would have liked, the experience was transformative. It not only expanded his medical knowledge but also helped him clarify the type of physician he aspires to be—compassionate, patient-centered, and committed to making a difference in his future patients’ lives. Trevor is grateful for the opportunities he had at Voyage Clinics to learn both the art and the science of medicine, and he highly recommends the experience to anyone preparing for a career in healthcare.
Derek is currently a 1st year medical student at Texas Tech and loving it! He thinks that working at Voyage Clinics during his gap year was the perfect thing as he prepared for medical school. He gained invaluable experience working directly with patients and witnessing what patient centered care should look like. He also learned about what it takes to run a medical practice behind the scenes and gained valuable skills for his future career not taught in medical school. Derek’s time at Voyage Clinics made for an easy transition into medical school and even helped him get into an accelerated program to finish sooner and with less debt. He recommends Voyage Clinics to anyone seeking an experience above and beyond that of a typical medical assistant to better prepare for a career in medicine.
